Its got to be a bug because how can it not say his professions. Notice it just says Lvl 22 not W/Mo22 or something else?

it's likely connected to his sudden disonnect. It's not unusal for strange things to happen during a sudden disconnect in any game.

No I've seen that before. One group i was in once, had two ppl, that just had names. Not classes or anything, but they weren't LD, cus they did the whole mission with us.

Were they by chance NPC's?

I am not that far in the game, but maybe that is what it is...NPS's

I just opened that in a paint program and zoomed in..I don't think it's fake, and if it is it's a bloody good one.

It's most likely a bug, as if it was an npc it would have been under allies rather than party members.

Edit: Sorry for trying that, but I like to be certain..of course I did not mean to imply you would lie to us like that.

Second Edit: I just realised..it can't be an npc anyway, as they do not often make a habit of disconnecting.

I think he was asking if it could have been a henchman. At any rate, if it were, it would have had thier class and (hencman) next to the name; i.e lv3 Mo Alesa (Healer Henchman). Furthermore i dont recognize that name as any of the henchmen.

It's somekind of bug with the disconnecting.. I saw the same thing, lvl 28 after the player got d/c.

Could it be that the game counts the lvl over the 20 (from the gained exp) but always shows it just 20 to the players?

It's not often that a henchman disconnects in the middle of a mission.

You were answering sgtcurly's question, I was stating what i belive curly's question to be. Allies and henchmen dont appear in the same place on the player window. This was before your posts edits.

Ooooh, I wouldnt say they dont disconnect often btw. They seem to like taking a break for a few hours and hiding inside mountains. Thats close enough in my book

I was going to come in here claiming the OP was a fool, but after seeing who it was (synthos is not someone that would just make something up) and seeing that it was not "paint shoped" I will not.

I think that Palidor hit the nail on the head. Its a bug that will show the lvl you could be if the lvl cap wasent 20. Only thing i can think of.

It could be people working for Arenanet or Ncsoft because they probable would be put up to a high rank above everybody else and with the best stuff or it could be a bug.

I love the random guesswork. Why would they do that? That'd just infuriate people, and they're smarter than that. Most likely it keeps track of levels beyond 20 (for the purpose of skill points?) and only displays it if you disconnect or through a bug.

the should put character level (Skill level) in brackets next to it, would look kinda spiff,

cause what about us nuts who have done every secondary class quest, and can use every spec line/skill at will cause we're so lazy we farmed up that many skill points.....

not like I'd use my ele/war but I could lol

that and it'd just look funny to see, 20(900)

(Note: Yes I have entirely too much free time, and no I don't have every skill on 1 char yet, but getting there fast)

It's probably an NPC.

In certain parts of the game, you can team up with Devona, Mhenlo, Aidan, and Cynn. They don't have [henchman] or their class next to their names.

Though, the disconnect is odd. Maybe your team leader kicked them out?

I'm going to say it's not an NPC for a specific reason. NPCs get a special place on your party bar. They go into the Allies section at the bottom. The only thing I can think of is perhaps if the game reads your "true" level when you disconnect. What I mean by true level is this.

you hit lvl 20. now you gain exp twards skill points.

After 1 skill point is earned, your "true level" as the game sees it at least, is lvl 21. After 2 skill points it's 22, and so on and so forth.

Also, henchmen don't go over 20 as far as I'm aware, and they would have their class and such next to them. When was the last time a henchmen disconnected or ditched your group anyway?
